About Thich Nhat Hanh

This retreat will be led by monastics trained by Thich Nhat Hanh.

Thich Nhat Hanh is a world-renowned peace activist, Zen Master and author of more than 100 books on meditation and mindfulness practices. He was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize by Martin Luther King in 1967 for his peace work during the Vietnam War. After he was exiled from his home country, he settled in France and built a mindful community called Plum Village, leading retreats for thousands of people around the world.

His teachings on engaged Buddhism have inspired many peace activists and social change movements through the world.
